About the Shark Rocket Pro DLX Corded Stick Vacuum HV371
The Shark Rocket Pro DLX (HV371) is a lightweight corded stick vacuum that converts into a handheld, so one machine can handle floors as well as furniture, stairs and above-floor cleaning. Shark designed it to clean hardwood floors and deep-clean carpets, and it weighs less than 10 lbs.
Advanced Swivel Steering makes it easier to weave around furniture, and LED headlights on both the floor nozzle and the hand vacuum help reveal hidden dust and pet hair. To switch modes, you step on a pedal to release the wand from the nozzle. The XL-capacity, easy-empty dust cup holds 0.7 qt, and the foam filters are washable.
Because it plugs in, there's no battery to charge, and the 25-foot cord gives you good reach from each outlet. It comes with a crevice tool, an upholstery tool and an anti-allergen dust brush, and it's backed by Shark's 5-year limited warranty. It's a practical pick for pet owners and anyone who wants a light vacuum for quick, frequent clean-ups.
What reviewers say
Shoppers on retailer sites generally like the Rocket Pro DLX for its light weight, strong suction and handy attachments, and many use it for quick pick-ups of pet hair. The most common complaints are a dust cup that fills quickly and needs frequent emptying, and a top-heavy feel in stick mode.
Pros
- Light and easy to maneuver with swivel steering
- Strong suction for its size, including on pet hair
- Converts quickly to a handheld for furniture and stairs
- Long cord lets you clean several rooms from one outlet
Cons
- The dust cup is small and needs emptying often
- Can feel top-heavy
