About the Ninja Crispi 4-in-1 Portable Glass Air Fryer
The Ninja Crispi is a compact air fryer built around a different idea: instead of a fixed basket, a small heating unit that Ninja calls the PowerPod sits on top of glass cooking containers. Cook in the larger 4-quart container for family portions, which Ninja says fits about 4 lb of chicken and vegetables, or the 6-cup container for smaller meals and leftovers.
It offers four presets, including Air Fry and Recrisp, with temperatures up to 450°F, plus a timer, simple button controls and a digital display. Because the containers are glass, you can keep an eye on food as it cooks, then serve from the same dish and add a storage lid for leftovers. The containers and crisper plates are dishwasher safe, and cool-touch handles, non-slip feet, overheat protection and auto shut-off are built in.
When you are done, the pieces nest together for storage, making it a good match for small kitchens and offices, and for anyone who likes to cook, serve and store in one container.
What reviewers say
Reviewers like the Crispi's novel glass-container design, fast cooking and very easy dishwasher cleanup, and several found it well suited to one or two people or to cooking at work. Criticisms center on limited capacity compared with full-size air fryers, bulk from the extra containers and lids, and uneven crisping in some tests.
Pros
- Cook, serve and store in the same glass dish
- Cooks quickly
- Very easy dishwasher cleanup
- Handy for small households and office lunches
Cons
- Smaller capacity than full-size air fryers
- Extra containers and lids take up storage space
- Crisping can be uneven
